Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5’s Midwest Clean Diesel Initiative announced that it expects to award up to $300,000 in grants this year for diesel-emission reduction projects in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana and Ohio.
The project proposals will be accepted until Sept. 18 and final awards will be made around Jan. 1.
Some of the projects which can be proposed include the use of cleaner burning fuels, such as biodiesel, idle reduction technologies or strategies, vehicle replacement, or diesel exhaust retrofits.
