Sanimax Ships State’s First Large-Scale Load of Biodiesel

Categories: Bio Fuels

Sanimax Energy, a founding member of the Wisconsin Bio Industry Alliance (WBIA), shipped off its first load of biodiesel yesterday to Progressive Farmers Cooperative in Northeast Wisconsin.

Sanimax currently operates the state's first large-scale biodiesel plant in DeForest, which came online in April.  The plant has a capacity of 20 million gallons per year.

The shipment represents the first large-scale load of biodiesel to be distributed in Wisconsin.

BEST Energies, also a founding member of the WBIA, is currently constructing an 8 million gallon per year biodiesel facility in Cashton.
